INTERVIEW

Interview Alejandro Chaban about GLP-1

1. Yes You Can! has been the #1 diet & wellness plan, especially for Latinos. What cultural insights helped you design a program that resonates so deeply with this community?

Latinos don’t just want to lose weight, they want to feel understood. I grew up in the culture, so I knew this had to be more than a diet. We designed Yes You Can! around our food, our language, our family values, and the emotional connection we have with health. When people feel seen and supported, and you back that with real science, they stay committed and real change happens.

2. With YES YOU CAN MEDICAL, you pioneered offering GLP-1 treatments in Spanish. How did you identify this gap in the health industry, and what has the reception been like?

I realized that some of the most advanced medical treatments were simply not accessible to Spanish speakers. That was a huge gap. We decided to change that by offering GLP-1 treatments with medical supervision, education, and support entirely in Spanish. The response has been overwhelming because people finally feel safe, informed, and respected while receiving science backed care.

3. How do you balance innovation in medical treatments with preserving the motivational and lifestyle based approach that made Yes You Can! successful?

Medical innovation is powerful, but it’s not enough on its own. GLP-1 helps regulate appetite and metabolism, but mindset, habits, and daily decisions are what sustain results. We integrate medical treatment with nutrition, education, and motivation because true health is built when science supports a lifestyle, not when it replaces it.

4. You’ve had a strong media presence for years, from Despierta América to podcasts. How has media exposure fueled the growth of your businesses?

Media gave me the opportunity to educate and build trust at scale. Every appearance allowed me to talk about health in a simple and honest way and to show that science based solutions don’t have to feel intimidating. Over time, that consistency created credibility and helped turn an audience into a community that believes in the mission.

5. Your podcast recently launched in English. What motivated the decision to expand your message to a broader audience, and how has the response been so far?

The message of health and transformation is universal. Science doesn’t belong to one language, and neither does motivation. Launching the podcast in English was a way to share our experience and approach with a wider audience. The response has been very positive because people connect with authenticity, purpose, and practical science no matter where they come from.

6. The wellness and weight loss industry is very competitive. What sets Yes You Can! apart from global competitors?

What makes us different is that we don’t focus on quick results. We focus on sustainable transformation. We combine medical science, GLP-1 treatments, nutrition, supplementation, mindset, and ongoing support. People don’t just lose weight, they learn how to take control of their health long term.

7. Looking ahead to 2026, what new projects or expansions can customers and investors expect from Yes You Can! and YES YOU CAN MEDICAL?

We are focused on growth with purpose. That means expanding access to medical care, integrating more technology, and continuing to develop science based solutions that support real life. Everything we build is designed to make personalized health more accessible, more human, and more effective.

8. What personal philosophy or daily ritual helps you maintain focus and drive while managing such rapid business growth?

I start every day by reconnecting with the mission. I remind myself that this is about helping people believe they can change. When your purpose is clear and your decisions are guided by both heart and science, staying focused becomes much easier.
